6th August, 1931.

Dear Mr. Mayhew,

I find that in the Memorandum about Hong Kong

University, which you kindly acknowledged this morning, I

made a slip in saying that the amount of the Boxer Indem-

nity allocated to the Hong Kong University was £200,000

plus £15,000 to pay off the debt of the Chinese students.

It should have been £250,000, plus £15,000. x Perhaps you

will kindly have this corrected before the Memorandum is

circulated.

I received from Professor Forster this morning

a copy of the London Review in which his article on

"America and China" appeared. I have not time to read it

before I start for London, but I will send it to you to-

morrow in case you may like to see it.

Yours sincerely,

Lugung
